The Justice Department announced Wednesday that, at Obama’s direction, it would not defend the Defense of Marriage Act in a court case where it’s being challenged. Does this mark a reversal in the Obama administration’s opposition to same sex marriage? Not really, but it could well mark a move in the right direction. The AP has the story.
