Come celebrate the newest green space in Seattle – the Capitol Hill neighborhood’s Summit Slope Park. A p-patch community is organizing the urban gardening space in the park, and there will be gardening tips from a Seattle Tilth Master Composter.  There will be live music, and refreshments provided by the East Olive Way Starbucks. The East Broadway Umpqua Bank will be bringing ice cream.

It’s a ten-hour marathon of fabulous contemporary American music. There will be 25 different sets by local ensembles and soloists. Jazz, percussion, eclectic composer and pianist Wayne Horvitz, pianist Cristina Valdes, and Jarrad Powell, composer and artistic director of Gamelan Pacifica and more.
