In this economy, many people are opting to stay home this summer instead of take a vacation. Summer camp attendance is down, too. But thanks to a great new program called Kids Bowl Free, over 1,000 bowling centers in the US and Canada are offering 2 free games of bowling ever day for kids – all summer long.
The bowling alleys are intentionally giving up hundreds of thousands of dollars of potential revenue to make 2011 a great summer of fun. Kids of qualifying age are eligible to register for 2 free games a day, all summer long, courtesy of the participating bowling centers along with the schools and organizations. Most bowling alleys are allowing kids from 15 and under or 18 and under to participate.
There are 33 participating bowling centers in Washington State, from Forks to Walla Walla. Seven in Seattle and Tacoma alone.
Go to http://www.kidsbowlfree.com to register your child. Cost for renting bowling shoes still applies. And there is an option to purchase a family membership for $24.95 – also 2 games a day for up to four adults.
Some centers have started their programs already, and run through early September.
