Star Wars Day at Pacific Science Center

“May the 4th be with you,” is the running joke with Star Wars fans everywhere.  But in reality, it’s a special day at the Pacific Science Center, in conjunction with their Star Wars special exhibit.  The exhibit will be at the Pacific Science Center until May 8th, but on Wednesday, May 4th, there will be special activities and extended hours.  If you come dressed in your favorite Star Wars costume, you’ll receive $2 off the general admission price between 10am – 5pm.

On that day, the 501st Legion, a worldwide Star Wars costuming organization made up of Star Wars fans, will be on hand to take photos with guests.

Here are some other things happening on May 4th:

11 am, 12:30 pm & 2:00 pm
Wheel and Deal – test your knowledge of Star Wars at the: “Where Science Meets Imagination” Live Science Demonstration Stage.

12 pm to 2 pm
Coloring and craft tables –  make your own Droid, or construct a light saber with recycled materials at the Ackerley Family Exhibit Gallery.

2:00 pm & 3:00 pm
Galaxies Planetarium Show – explore the Milky Way and learn about our universe in the Willard Smith Planetarium.

3 pm to 5 pm
Star Wars trivia time – test your knowledge at the Ackerley Family Exhibit Gallery

8 p.m. and 8:45 p.m.
Special space-themed laser show – with music and lights inspired by a galaxy far, far away in the Pacific Science Center’s Laser Dome Theater

Entry to these events is included with the price of general admission – FREE for Pacific Science Center members.
