Happy Hour for Hope is a way to have a drink for a cause and help neighborhood non-profits. Hard Rock Café will be hosting the Happy Hour on Wednesday, May 11 from 5:30pm – 7:30pm. There will be a raffle for prizes, concert tickets and gift certificates. Seattle Weekly is behind this event, which will benefit Seattle’s Sanctuary Arts Center in the University District. This non-profit art studio is open five days a week to help homeless teens and young people create meaningful relationships and learn the art process. The classes are taught by local artisans focusing on visual, theatrical and musical arts.
The center began in 1999. It’s mission statement is “To provide a safe, warm and calm environment for homeless and street involved youth to experience creativity and success through the use of various artistic media.” For more information, visit the website at http://www.sanctuaryartcenter.org.
Hard Rock will be extending their happy hour specials through the duration of the event. And Hard Rock’s weekly Acoustic Wednesdays starts at 9pm, so if you’re having a good time, stick around for some good music!
