Since 1971, Bumbershoot has drawn artists representing the best in music, film, comedy, spoken word, dance, theatre, performance, and visual arts to Seattle Center every Labor Day weekend… and it’s here again, September 3, 4 and 5!
Here are some of the artists taking the stage during Bumbershoot, September 3-5 at Seattle Center (305 Harrison Street): The President of the United States of America, Daryl Hall & John Oates, Wiz Khalifa, Ray LaMontagne & the Pariah Dogs, Broken Social Scene, The Kills, Minus the Bear, Mavis Staples, Little Dragon, Leon Russell, Fitz and the Tantrums, Grant Lee Buffalo, Urge Overkill, STRFKR, Master Blazter, Warpaint, Jessica Lea MayfieldThe Lonely Forest.
No need to negotiate driving details, King County Metro is hooking you up with the Bumbershoot Shuttle. Hop on at the Northgate Transit Center and hop off at the Seattle Center.
Bumbershoot is 3 days packed full of art and music. Keep yourself comfy and happy by being prepared! Don’t forget to bring a reusable water bottle to stay hydrated, comfy shoes, sunscreen, and dress in layers for any weather!
And this year, for the first time, there are two days of Bumbershoot After Dark Events. There will be two nights of electronic dance music in conjunction with the 2011 Bumbershoot Festival at Seattle Center. These late night events will feature six critically acclaimed DJs and producers, each representing a unique style of electronic music: Z-Trip, Four Tet, Craze, Claude VonStroke, Jokers of the Scene and Dam-Funk. In addition to these world-renowned lineups, Decibel, One Reel and Seattle Center will be collaborating on what promises to be the most adventurous stage configuration that any of the organizations have ever produced throughout their 100+ years of collective experience.
