Who hasn’t seen a movie set in New York City in which people order food from street vendors? They have stands at every corner! Now Seattle will have it’s own mini-street food fair at 2nd and Pine for lunch and dinner.

Starting next week, eight vendors—Buns, Street Treats, Kaosamai, Lumpia World, Fusion on the Run, Here and There, Pai’s and Curry Now!—will dish up curb cuisine on the corner of Second and Pine for the month of June. The food trucks will take turns slinging lunch weekdays 11-2 and dinner from 4-8:30, two trucks each time.

Buns natural burgers and fries – simple street fare done right. Buns on Wheels uses local and organic produce and grass-fed, free range beef burgers.

Pai’s, whose truck usually hangs in the SLU area, will be serving up delicious plates of “Thai-born, Hawaiian-style” food.  Your taste buds will hang ten.  And note: they now take plastic!

On Tuesdays and Thursdays, starting on June 2, Curry Now! will be serving up their savory, vegetarian Indian fare from 11am-2pm.

Kaosamai has a Thai food brick-and-mortar restaurant at the west end of Fremont, on the corner of 36th & Phinney.  Ask for their curried chicken and pineapple when you see their food truck.  Heaven.

On Fridays for lunch, it’s Lumpia World‘s amazing, homemade lumpia – lemongrass chicken, ginger pork – or vegetarian spring rolls, which are vegan and gluten-free.

Tuesday and Friday evenings, stop by for a custom ice cream cookie sandwich, cookie sandwich, bars, cookies & other sweets from Street Treats.

Fusion on the Run is the latest on the Seattle food truck scene, coming into town last fall.  Homemade tacos and sandwiches are their specialty, sort of a Korean, Vietnamese, Hawaiian fusion of deliciousness.  Fusion will have dinner ready for you four nights a week.

Thursday lunches will be like a gourmet deli right out of a food truck.  Here ‘n There‘s spicy pulled pork is a must-have, followed closely by the Greek Style Lamb Salad.  A bowl of soup or a smoothie?  They got you covered.

See you and 2nd and Pine.  For the full schedule, go to http://www.2ndandpine.com.
