Best of Sequim Lavender Celebrations
July 15 – 17, lavender will be all around in Sequim, WA as the entire county celebrates with the Sequim Lavender Farm Faire and the Sequim Lavender Festival. Farm tours, street fairs, demonstrations and more will fill your senses during this annual weekend of Clallam county fun!
Come see the purple haze! Tour the lavender farms and see how generations of farmers have been cultivating, harvesting, drying and using lavender. Each farm is its own festival with a variety of programs including U-pick lavender, workshops, demonstrations, craft artists, music, food and beverages. Tours are July 15 -17, between 10:00am and 6:00pm. Farm Tour Tickets provide unlimited admission to all of the farms throughout the Lavender Faire as well as free bus service from Lavender in the Park at Carrie Blake Park. Advance tickets are $10 per person. Tickets for active duty military personnel and their dependents are $10 at all times. Tickets during the weekend are $15 per person and there is no admission charge for children 12 and under. Advance tickets are available at www.brownpapertickets.com . Tickets are also available at all of the farms and at the Lavender in the Park information center.
Friday and Saturday nights, July 16 and 17, after a great day at the farms, take in the free evening concerts at the James Center Amphitheatre at the park. Friday night features the return of Crème Tangerine, the Northwest’s finest Beatles tribute band. Saturday, get moving to Stompin’ in the Park with Cort Armstrong and Blue Rooster. The concerts are from 7pm-9pm. Bring lawn chairs, enjoy the food from our food booths, and sample Olympic Peninsula wines and great Northwest beer at the wine garden.
The main Sequim location, Lavender in the Park at Carrie Blake Park, is your family-friendly central source for all things lavender. The beautiful and spacious Carrie Blake Park features the James Center Amphitheatre, with great lawns and lovely gardens that will provide a relaxing and open area for the entire family.
If you have attended or participated in past lavender weekend events, this is not the street fair on Fir Street that you may be familiar with. However, your favorite Street Fair participants are now at Carrie Blake Park, including many crafts artisans, the great international food booths, Olympic Peninsula Wineries sponsored wine and beer garden, the music program produced by Duane Wolfe, the Friends of Gentle Paws Pet-Sitting, nonprofits including the Boys & Girls Club and SNAP, and more. And at this new location there is room for new programs such as the lavender pie-making contest, demonstrations and workshops from the WSU Master Gardeners program, and more.
