“Renaissance Revelry” is Mercer Island’s theme for their Summer Celebration 2011, July 9 and 10. Expect non-stop excitement with jousting knights on horseback, sword fight action throughout the day, roving entertainers, Renaissance-themed Magik Shows, Shakespeare performances by Wooden O’ Theatre, and so much more! The Seattle Knights, the northwest’s premier steel-fighting and jousting show, is a theatrical troupe specializing in Medieval Fantasy, wielding real steel weapons and armor on horseback to perform choreographed, medieval-style combat.

Festival parking will be limited to off-street parking around Mercerdale Park and in the downtown streets of Mercer Island. Some lots allow festival parking while most of the shopping complex lots strictly forbid it (expect to be ticketed and fined by the businesses if you fail to adhere to the posted signs).
