Skiing on Crystal in July? Yes, indeed. And if you’ve hung up your skis, don’t worry. You can dance, eat, and horseback ride on the mountain this weekend. A record snowfall of more than 600 inches of snow has fallen since Crystal opened on November 19, breaking the previous snowfall record of 598 inches set in 1999. That was the only other season when the slopes were open as late as July 4. Crystal plans on being open July 9 and 10, but operations later into July are still to be determined. Lift tickets are reduced to $35.
The base area will host a barbecue and live music on Saturday, July 9. Dance in the outdoor tent with all your Crystal Mountain ski friends on the Alpine Inn lawn. It’s a winter reunion in summer at the Snorting Elk/ Alpine Inn!
