Keep your kids reading and writing (and playing!) this summer with one of the many King County Library Programs for ages 2 – 18!

Summer Reading Program for Kids from Pre-School Through 6th Grade
The One World, Many Stories Summer Reading program has just begun for kids up to age 12. It’s easy to do; just sign up online to get started!
Go to http://www.kcls.org. Type your name, age and school in the online registration form. Select a library from the drop down menu.
Keep track of your minutes on the online Reading Log, and earn cool prizes!
Elementary- Reading Log for Elementary age kids (5-12)\Preschoolers – Activity Sheet for Preschoolers (up to age 5).
Earn cool prizes! Check out the website for the prize chart http://www.www.kcls.org. Prizes are available July 13 – September 13.

Teen Writers Groups - ages 12 to 18
Share stories, poems and talk about writing with other teens. Read your work aloud or bring copies to get feedback from other writers.

Auburn Library

Teen Writer’s Group meets the second Tuesday of earch month 3:30-5pm

Bothell Regional Library
The third Thursday of the each month, 3:30pm

Kingsgate Library
Teen Writing Group. Group meets every third Tuesday 4:30-6:30pm

Lake Forest Park Library
The third Tuesday of each month, 4-5pm
Held in Lake Forest Park Commons Meeting Room.

Maple Valley Library
Young Authors Club- Teens – ages 12-18 or 6th thru 12th grade. Teen writers meet at the library to share their work, get helpful writing tips and constructive criticism. Please call library for dates and times.

Sammamish Library
The third Tuesday of each month, 3:30-4:30pm
Sponsored by the Sammamish Friends of the Library.

Do you like to read or draw Manga? Interested in Anime?
The King County Library System has Manga and Anime Clubs for teens in grades 6-12.

Burien Library
1st Wednesday of the month at 3:30pm

Federal Way Library
3rd Wednesday of the month

Snoqualmie Library
Every Wednesday from 3-4.

Storytime in the Park
Stroll to Storytime in the Park! Saturday July 23rd at 10:00am at The Park at Bothell Landing.
It’s storytime in the Park! Songs, stories, fingerplay and our big red Library2Go van. Walk, run or stroll–see you at the park!

Game On!
Weekly teen programs happening at participating King County libaries. Play Wii, PS2 and Xbox at the library. A part of the libary will turn into an arcade complete with DDR, Guitar Hero, Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Mario Kart and other games. Ages 12 to 18.
