Amazon.com Unveils their Kindle Textbook Rental Service

With tuition rates on the rise, college students need all the help they can get. Amazon.com is now offering some relief with its new rental program.

According to GeekWire.com, Amazon.com has announced its Kindle Textbook Rental Service. Students can rent digital versions of textbooks on a Kindle from 30 days to 365. More than one year rental includes extra fees. Amazon estimates Kindle Textbook Rental can save students up to 80% over purchasing books for class.

Amazon also allows students to save notes and highlighted content through Wyspersync technology on the Amazon Cloud, even after the rental agreement expires.
