This fall, 20,000 foster children will head back to school in the Northwest. In an effort to help Washington and Oregon foster kids feel prepared and confident this school year and help foster families tackle their back-to-school shopping list, Sleep Country USA is hosting its annual School Supply Drive for Foster Kids.

The drive runs from July 18 through September 5.

Donate a backpack and fill it with school supplies or host your own drive collecting classroom essential items like pencils, paper, binders, calculators, glue sticks and crayons. You can even make this an event in your community and help spread the word about this drive.

Donations of new school supplies can be dropped off at any Sleep Country store. For information on the location of the store closest to you, go to the website at http://www.sleepcountry.com or call 1.888.88.SLEEP.

The donations will be distributed among Sleep Country’s partner foster care organizations.
