It’s BikeMania and CycleFest at Magnuson Park

Join in the biggest Tour de France-inspired festival on the West Coast! This annual family-friendly event is a great occasion for relaxing with your family or friends over a picnic on Friday, July 22 from 5:00 – 10:30pm.

BikeMania is an afternoon of kids’ bike games, riding and entertainment, and CycleFest includes watching a stage of the Tour de France!  The event has an awesome schedule of events, including a high-flying BMX stunt show by top pro rider Nick Halsey and crew; bike carnival games with lots of prizes; a treasure hunt and a bike parade. All kids should bring a bike (and helmet), and their parents or guardians must sign waivers.

Come hungry! Starting at 5:00pm, there are plenty of food carts, including Randy’s Urban Grill sausage, Jamba Juice smoothie stand, and a beer garden.

And there’s live music from  Orkestar Zirkonium, a brass-and-drum band, a drawing for a new Lapierre racing bicycle (value $2,000), bicycle art, and more.

The end of the night, beginning at 9:00pm, it’s a pre-recorded showing of Stage 19 of the Tour de France on the big, big screen.
