The Nordic Heritage Museum is holding a vigil this evening at 6pm to honor the victims of last Friday’s attacks in Norway.
The museum does not have a sense of how many people will be in attendance, but do have a plan for a large turn-out. The event will be held in the auditorium with overflow out into the parking lot and along the side of the building.
The Honorary Consul of Norway, Kim Nesselquist, will be speaking. There will be a moment of silence and an offering of prayers for the victims of the Oslo and Utøya attacks. “This is the time for all of us to come together, there is strength in community,” is part of a statement on the museum’s website http://www.nordicmuseum.org.
The museum normally closes at 4pm but will remain open because of the vigil at 6:00pm. The museum is located at 3014 NW 67th Street, Seattle, WA 98117.
