They say it’s a natural wonder. In Grandma’s soup it cures the common cold. Around your neck, it keeps away vampires. What is it about garlic? Head to Chehalis for a sample… or two!
It’s the 15th annual Garlic Fest and Craft Show, August 26 – 28. With pony rides, kids crafts, and face painting, the kids will stay well entertained. For adults, there’s the beer and wine gardens, and for everyone, plenty of live music and food!
For the adventurous, try the hand-crafted chocolate with a bit of sea-salt and garlic from Katie’s Candies, according to the Garlic Fest Facebook page. And Garlic Gorgonzola Fries for the gourmet. Not everything offered is smothered in garlic, so you can still kiss your sweetie goodnight. There’s strawberry shortcake, crepes, barbecue, seafood, corn dogs, and more.
You’ll find plenty of craft and vendor booths for browsing and shopping. It’s a family-friendly weekend just about 90 miles to the south of Seattle. Check out the website at http://www.chehalisgarlicfest.com.
