Hempfest is scheduled for Friday, Saturday and Sunday, August 19-21, 2011. It’s open to the public on Friday from 12 noon to 8pm, and on Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 8pm. Admission to Seattle Hempfest is free. The event spans three Seattle area parks: Elliott Bay Park (North Entrance), Myrtle Edwards Park, and Olympic Sculpture Park (South Entrance).
There are five stages of world-class music going on throughout the weekend. The Seattle Hempfest is one of the largest gathering of speakers on Hemp and Marijuana policy reform in the world. Originally billed in 1991 as the “Washington Hemp Expo”, the first Hempfest started in Volunteer Park where it would stay for three years. Now in it’s 20th year, Seattle’s Hempfest has a year-round community of members, online and at many special events throughout the year.
