Celebrate harvest season! It’s Seattle’s local organic food and urban farming festival on Saturday, September 10 from 10:00am till 4:00pm at Meridian Park, 4649 Sunnyside Ave N in Seattle.

Meet friendly mini-dairy goats, fluffy chickens and the amazing honeybee hive. Participate in interesting hands-on workshops and presentations. Shop at Seattle’s original organic farmer’s market and find plants, books, crafts and sustainable goods. Enjoy live music, tasty local food stands and fun activities for the kids, including a make-your-own herb crown area, a puppet show and a kids’ parade. Where else can have this much good old fashioned fun?!

There are dozens of fabulous organizations and vendors participating. This is a great place to get informed on local issues and network with environmental and educational organizations. Don’t miss Seattle’s FREE festival of urban farm education and celebration!

If you’d like, before the festival, head to the Harvest Breakfast from 9:00 AM to Noon at the Wallingford Community Senior Center. It’s a community breakfast to celebrate the season.
