Since 2003, Seattle’s Decibel Festival has been a meeting of the minds for those intrigued by electronic music, performance, visual art and new media. This year, Decibel partnered with Bumbershoot, and along with OneReel and Seattle Center, helped produce the Bumbershoot: After Dark event.
From September 28 through October 2, the 8th Annual Decibel Festival will be including new venues around Seattle, including The Showbox Market, The Crocodile and Fred Wildlife Refuge. There will also be events at Neumos, The Triple Door, The Baltic Room, Sole Repair and The Illsley Ball Nordstrom Recital Hall at Benaroya Hall.
There will be showcases every night (for those 21+) and lectures, workshops and interactive discussions during the day about a variety of topics – from the future of record labels to starting your own business to children and music.
One of the many highlights of the Festival is on Friday, September 30 at The Showbox SoDo starting at 9:00pm, featuring the music of Moby (DJ), ALEXI DELANO (DJ), and the BLONDES. Get your dancing shoes polished up, and get ready to hit the town for the best electronic music in the city. Go to http://www.dbfestival.com for tickets and more information.
