Kids, Bring Your Parents and Rock Out with The Not-Its!
The Not-Its! are ready to get you on your feet, dancing and singing about silly animals, taking baths and baking cookies. This award-winning group knows how to perform music that kids like, that parents don’t mind listening to! Their music is a conglomeration of indie, with a little pop rock, grunge, and some ’60s rock’n roll thrown in, making everyday events in a kid’s life fun!
Ever dreamed of going into outer space? The Not-Its! have, too!
The group’s lead singer is Sarah Shannon (of the ‘90s Seattle indie-pop band Velocity Girl). Rhythm guitarist Danny is a former social worker who worked for 10 years with homeless youth; guitarist Tom is an elementary school teacher for special needs children; and bassist Nori is undergoing training as a yoga therapist. The band members are not only rockers, but parents themselves. They know what music parents like – and what kid-friendly entertainment is all about, having just released their third album Tag, You’re It! in June, 2011.
Head over to Pet-A-Palooza 2011 in Marymoor Park on Sunday, October 9. See The Not-Its! perform at 11:00am on the main stage. The event is free and open to the public! Put on your dancing shoes, bring your kids, bring your dog, and get ready to dance! For more information on The Not-Its! go to their website at http://www.wearethenot-its.com.
