Washington Man Allegedly Kills Girlfriend Over Dirty Dishes
BONNEY LAKE, Wash. (CBS Seattle) – A Washington man allegedly killed his girlfriend over an argument stemming from dirty dishes in their home while their children were present.
Thirty-eight year old Mthulisi Ndlovu was charged with first-degree murder in the death of his 42-year-old girlfriend Mary Mushapaidzi.
According to a press release from the Pierce County authorities, Ndlovu walked into the police station and reported his girlfriend missing from their Bonney Lake home. He stated that she went out running earlier in the morning and didn’t return.
When police arrived at the home, they smelled that something was burnt. Ndlovu told police that he was burning junk mail in the garage.
According to the report, police searched the home and found blood streaks leading to the garage from the kitchen. They also found a pair of shears and a barrel that contained human remains.
According to police, it was then Ndlovu told them about the argument over the dirty dishes. He said that Mushaipaidzi hit him in the face with her purse, setting him off.
According to the report, he then took out shears to stab her and started to strangle her, while the girlfriend’s 8-year-old and their 2-year-old were still inside the home.
Once he realized she was dead, he dragged her body to the garage, placed it in the barrel and lit it on fire, according to the police report.
Bail for Ndlovu has been set at $1 million.
