It’s a feast for the senses. On Wednesday, October 19 at KeyArena, there won’t be a bad seat in the house. A huge, 60-foot screen will digitally project The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring while the entire score of the film will be performed simultaneously by the Munich Symphony Orchestra, Pacific Chorale, and Phoenix Boys Choir, according to the KeyArena website.
This one-performance only concert in Seattle kicks off a three-year celebration. The plan is to have the entire triology of the Oscar-winning films performed live and in concert by the tenth anniversary of its release. The Fellowship of the Ring (2001) will tour in 2011. Look for The Two Towers (2002) in 2012, and the grand finale, The Return of the King (2003), in 2013.
