With La Niña in the forecast, who knows what this winter holds? To know what to do and how to do it, you’ll want to attend the Thurston County “Prepare Because You Care” Emergency Preparedness Expo. The fun, family-friendly vendors and displays will help you get ready for winter and that just-in-case emergency.

The free event at Saint Martin’s University in Lacey will have kid’s activities, prizes, emergency supplies, and safety demonstrations. Meet Firefighter/EMTs, American Red Cross volunteers, learn about electrical safety from Puget Sound Energy, Earthquake preparedness, and more.

The expo is Saturday, October 29 from 10:00am – 3:00pm. For more information, check out the website at http://www.co.thurston.wa.us/em/expo/.
