Basket Brigade is Looking For Volunteers to Bring Thanksgiving Cheer to the Needy

This year, help others in need by preparing and delivering Thanksgiving Baskets! On Friday, November 18 and Saturday, November 19 at Seattle’s Meadowbrook Community Center the Basket Brigade gathers donations, prepares baskets of food and delivers them to needy families or individuals. By donating and volunteering your time, you just might find this year is the most rewarding Thanksgiving you’ve ever experienced! If you’d like to make it a family project, kids are welcome to participate.

In 2010, the Basket Brigade fed nearly 1,400 people all over the greater Seattle area during Thanksgiving. On Friday, November 18, between 3:00pm – 5:00pm, the food will be loaded off the donation trucks and organized for the Thanksgiving Baskets. Then on Saturday, November 19 from 11:00am – 5:00pm, the baskets are prepared and delivered anonymously. If you’d like to help, call the Meadowbrook Community Center at 206.684.7522.

The Center is located at:
10517 35th Ave NE
Seattle, WA 98125
