According to the Seattle Times, the families of the four Lakewood police officers slain two years ago are hosting a Food Drive in their memory on Tuesday, November 29.

Lakewood Police Sgt. Mark Renninger and Officers Ronald Owens, Tina Griswold and Greg Richards were gunned down on November 29, 2009 while sitting in a Forza Coffee shop. This is the second annual food drive in their memory.  The gunman, Maurice Clemmons, was killed two days later by a Seattle officer.

According to the News Tribune, this year’s goal is to raise $50,000 and 50,000 pounds of food for the Emergency Food Network. Donations will be accepted at the Lakewood police department, Forza coffee shops in Pierce County, county library branches and some businesses.
