The nationally acclaimed Christmas Lighting Festival returns for an emotional visit to a turn of the century Bavarian Christmas, Holiday personalities and a ceremonial lighting of the town. This is the first of three weekends of Lighting Festivals in Leavenworth.

A day filled with holiday cheer. Saturday Christmas Market 10:00am – 4:00pm, with over 15 vendors, arts and crafts, baked goods and more. Lighting of “The World’s Tallest Crab Pot Christmas Tree”, 5:00pm with caroling and “The World’s Shortest Fireworks Display.” At 6:00pm, it’s the Lighted Boat Parade. At Time Enough Books: Mrs. Claus. At Don Nisbett Art Gallery: Holiday Open House 5:00pm – 7:00pm with hot chocolate and cookies and ice sculpting by Joshua Blewett. This is a free, family friendly event with many festive activities to enjoy. There will be fire truck and horse-drawn wagon rides. Local choirs, bands, and dance troupes will perform and gingerbread houses will be on display on the upper floor of the terminal. Santa Claus is planning on coming to this event as well!

Lynden’s 21st annual holiday celebration begins with the beloved Lighted Christmas Parade, where visitors are treated to holiday carolers and a dazzling display of lighted trucks, cars, floats, wagons, farm equipment, & more! The procession starts at Fairway Center and travels along Front Street throughout downtown Lynden. In addition, don’t forget to take a tour of unique light displays & decorated storefronts throughout the city during Lynden in Lights! Illuminated designs (Nativity sets, Dutch children, poinsettias, windmills, & more) shine brightly throughout the holiday season for all to see!

The Community Treelighting and Santa Visit includes horse-drawn carriage rides by Port Townsend Livery. The hoofbeats of handsome Percheron horses add an echo of Victorian times. Santa arrives by Engine No. 3, Port Townsend’s vintage white fire truck. The Wild Rose Chorale will sing traditional carols on the street – come join in the festivities. Charming shops and galleries, over 50 restaurants, and a wide variety of special events make the holidays in Port Townsend a memorable experience.
