According to the Washington State DOT website, drivers should be prepared for heavier than normal traffic this evening as the Seattle Seahawks take on the St. Louis Rams at CenturyLink Field for Monday Night Football tonight.

Kickoff is at 5:30pm, but congestion will likely begin building earlier than usual in the afternoon and remain heavy through the evening commute. Expect longer-than-normal backups on north and southbound I-5 into the city, on I-90 and SR 99. Exits to Fourth Avenue South from I-90 and downtown exits along I-5 will be extremely busy. WSDOT Incident Response patrols are prepared to quickly clear collisions and disabled vehicles to keep traffic moving.
