Where are you ringing in the New Year? If you want to dress up, sparkle, and dine with elegance, here are some lovely dining opportunities around the Sound.

RN74 Seattle

The cuisine at RN74 aims to be a perfect complement to the wines — creative, modern, but simple interpretations of regional French cuisine punctuated with seasonal, fresh ingredients and bold flavors, all executed with a signature original twist. Michael Mina’s RN74 Seattle is offering two different seatings – A 5-Course Tasting Menu for $105 per person (5:30 – 6:30pm) and a 7-Course Tasting Menu for $195 per person (8:00-9:00pm). Check out the menus HERE.

The Herbfarm

Pull up your cozy chair. Let the kitchen regale you with 9-courses of holiday fare attuned to the essence of this time and place. The Herbfarm’s culinary offerings ranges from the timeless (butter hand churned right here; wild yeast breads from their wood-fired oven) to a touch of the space age (magic powders and glistening gels), according to The Herbfarm’s website. Come for a nightly Garden Tour (indoors this time of year) at 6:30pm. Come at 6:10pm and you’ll also be treated to an Open House in the Wine Cellar where you can check out the largest restaurant wine cellar in the Northwest. This is also the most extensive collection of Oregon and Washington wines in the world. If this weren’t enough, New Year’s Eve adds three French Champagnes to the menu, French/German/Spanish wines, a 100-year-old Madeira, and three international opera stars who will sing popular songs as well as classic arias — and of course, Auld Lang Syne!
