SEATTLE (AP) — Just one more day before tolling starts on the state Highway 520 floating bridge across Lake Washington.

The tolling kicks in at 5:00am Thursday, December 29. It’s part of a plan to ease congestion and pay for a replacement bridge.

Rates are based on the time of day and range from $1.10 late at night to $3.50 at peak times, in each direction. Those rates are for drivers who have a state-issued Good to Go sticker that works like a debit card.

Those without the sticker will be billed by mail for the toll — plus a $1.50 surcharge. To open a Good to Go account, you can go to multiple retail outlets including Safeway, Fred Meyer, QFC and Costco, according to the WADOT website. Or you can call 866.936.8246 for the Good to Go Customer Service Center.
