It’s MLK Jr. Day on Monday, January 16. Did the three-day weekend sneak up on you? Here are some fun activities you can do with the kids, and a couple of options for the kids if you need to work.

The Chess4Life coaching team comes from all across the world to bring the best possible chess instruction in the Pacific Northwest for kids, grades K-8. Their instructors benefit from a collective passion for the game, an enthusiasm for teaching children and the goal of not only teaching chess, but teaching life skills and positive character traits through chess instruction. A lunch break, followed by tournaments and prizes. No prior chess experience is necessary! Pick up is at 3:45pm, however After Camp Care is available for all campers from 4:00pm until 6:00pm, on a per hour basis. Hope on the Hill Guild is hosting the Eastside’s first bounce-house festival, “Bounce for Hope”, All proceeds benefit uncompensated care at Seattle Children’s Hospital. It’s a day off of school for the kiddos, so what better than to burn some energy while supporting a great cause!
