Car, Pedestrian Accidents on Icy Roads in Puget Sound
Two early morning fatal accidents have reportedly claimed the lives of two pedestrians in Puget Sound. One also injured a state trooper.
One person has reportedly been killed in a car-pedestrian accident Monday morning on Highway 526 in Everett near the Boeing plant. The Washington State Patrol says Everett police are investigating.
Meantime, a 44-year-old woman was struck and killed Monday morning on Highway 16 at Gig Harbor according to WA State Patrol. Trooper Guy Gill says she was out of vehicle trying to help at a collision when she was hit.
Gill says a trooper at the scene also was struck and he suffered a knee injury.
The patrol reports multiple collisions Monday morning on icy roads in the south Sound region.
