It’s nearly time for Seattle area kids to take their winter break! If you still need to work, or the kids want something fun to do, check out these area Winter Break Camps!

Open for kids from kindergarten through 8th grade, Chess4Life coaching team comes from all across the world to bring the best possible chess instruction in the Pacific Northwest. Located in Seattle, Bellevue, Issaquah, Redmond and Tacoma, the instructors have an enthusiasm for teaching children chess, and teaching life skills and positive character traits through chess instruction. The Seattle Public Theater (SPT) Youth Program, in partnership with Teatro Zinzanni is offering mid-winter break theater camp to students in grades 3 – 5. Your kids will learn classic clowning, circus skills, mime, lazzi and character development–all these skills are great tools whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned actor. Practice your flexibility and have fun working in an ensemble. Kids also get a few master classes from world-famous professional circus performers! Register online or by phone. Cost: $120.

Hoopaholics Midwinter break camp is an opportunity for boys and girls from 2nd through 8th grades to learn more about the game and have fun in a great environment. Players will learn and work on shooting, footwork, ball handling, triple threat, and will play in game situations. Players should bring water and a snack. Register online. Cost: $85.

Registration for February Break Camps in Seattle and Bellevue is currently available online and by phone. There are a variety of camps for kids in 1st through 8th grades.
