Fun runs abound in February around the Sound! Valentine’s Day Dash, Cupid’s Undie Run, plus special charity runs for the Special Olympics and Hopelink. Get off your chair and have fun on a run!

Valentine’s Day Dash

This 5K run or walk, and FREE kids’ dash provides you with a healthy way to celebrate the Valentine’s Day holiday. Run as an individual or as a 2-person team. Dress in your Valentine costume, if you choose. There will be contests, prizes, snacks for participants, and a “tunnel of love” for those who want to cheer! Register online or at one of the Seattle area registration locations.

Cupid’s Undie Run is a 1.5 mile jog in your bedroom-best on Valentine’s weekend. The event is to benefit The Children’s Tumor Foundation. All you do is raise money and get a chance to run around Fremont in your skivvies! Festivities start at noon on February 11 in six cities nationwide (DC, NYC, Atlanta, Seattle, Denver and Cincinnati). The Undie Run starts at 2pm followed by post-race festivities and awards. Pre- and post-run festivities are held at Ballroom. Register online.

This out and back 5K starts and finishes in the parking lot at 6565 Kimball Drive (across from the Park & Ride). Most of the race will be run on the NEW portion of the Cushman Trail! Run solo or as a team of 2 to compete for some great prizes! A Kid’s Dash starts at 8:45 am! Every runner will get a unique pair of SOCKS and a medal. There will be awards for the top 3 “couples”, top 3 individuals, and top male and female. Register online.

Come participate in LEAP 5K for the Special Olympics of Washington and Letting Every Athlete Participate. The event is open to all ages and runners of all levels. While prizes will be give to some of the top racers, feel free to come join in for a fun and leisurely stroll along the Lake Sammamish Trail along with music, food, and prizes after the 5K is over. RESOLUTION 5K Run, Fitness Challenge and Chili feed

Participants in this fun, un-timed event will run or walk 2 laps of a 2.5km (1.5miles) course along the scenic Sammamish River Trail. Between laps, Serious about Fitness Trainers will have a boot camp style circuit for more challenging fun. The run will include some stairs and a few other fitness surprises. Registration includes a long sleeve t shirt, and admission to the post event chili feed with snacks and beverages! Proceeds Benefit Hopelink. Register online.
