When Seattle based Julep first began, I was inspired by the company’s founder, Jane Park, and her commitment to bio-friendly nail products. After uber-recognition by Elle, Harper’s Bazaar, Vogue and more…. Julep has seven new gorgeous nail colors inspired by the Oscars.
I popped in for a pedicure in 2007 when Julep was only beginning and only one salon, near University Village. Hadassah, who did my pedicure, made me feel as if I was the only client she had that day. The experience was lovely, as was Jane Park, the founder.
Jane Park, local businesswoman and former Starbucks exec, has grown Julep from that one salon to four – including Gig Harbor, downtown Seattle and Bellevue. Rated as one of the best nail salons in 2010 and 2011 by Seattle Magazine, Julep uses sterilizing medical-grade autoclaves. Julep has developed its own line of products which have not gone unnoticed. Harper’s Bazzar and US Weekly both recommended Julep products in their March, 2011 beauty sections. None of the products contain formaldehyde, toluene, or DBP.
Julep Nail Polish puts together collections of polish. Recently, their collection of seven polishes includes six inspired by amazing actresses and one inspired by the Academy Award’s Oscar statue. Try one or more of these new colors – Glenn (Close), Viola (Davis), Rachel (Weisz), Meryl (Streep), Elizabeth (Olsen) or Marisa (Tomei).
You can come in over your lunch hour for a quick mani-pedi, or schedule time with a girlfriend. Don’t have time to call for an appointment? Go online to http://www.julep.com to schedule. Try one of the new Oscar worthy polishes, and purchase one or more to take home.
