Body Recovered Off Seattle Waterfront
MISSOULA, Mont.(AP) — A co-owner of the Badlander bar in Missoula, Mont., has been found dead in the chilly waters of Seattle’s Elliott Bay.
The King County Medical Examiner’s office says 37-year-old Aaron Bolton drowned. Police spokesman Mark Jamieson tells The Seattle Times the death appears to be an accident. Medical examiners haven’t made a final determination.
Badlander bar co-owner Chris Henry tells the Missoulian that Bolton had been inSeattlewith his stepbrother to pick up new speakers for the bar’s sound system.
Henry says at around 11 p.m. Sunday,Boltonleft a hotel, telling his stepbrother he intended to visit a downtown bar.Bolton’s body was recovered from the bay at Pier 57, about a mile from the nightclub.
A Seattle Fire Department boat recovered the body at 7 a.m. Monday.
