According to Airlinereporter.com, Emirates Airlines is planning to start flights between Seattle-Tacoma International Airport and Dubai International Airport on Thursday, March 1, 2012. Emirates will operate Boeing 777-300ER aircraft between the two cities.
The airline told USA Today that ‘the Seattle route “will help to further strengthen the airline’s links with Boeing,” which builds the Boeing 777 at facilities in the area. Emirates notes it is “already the largest operator of Boeing 777 aircraft in the world” and reminds that the company ordered an additional 30 777-300ERs last year’.
Seattle will be the sixth US city for Emirates’ operations. The other cities are Houston, Los Angeles, New York JFK, San Francisco and Dallas-Fort Worth.
