Mariners Fall To A’s

SEATTLE (CBS Seattle/AP) — Seattle lost big to the Oakland A’s in Peoria, AZ Saturday with Kevin Millwood and Hong-Chih Kuo each letting up two-run homers for the Mariners.

There were a couple good signs for the team however. Carlos Peguero homered for the second straight day and starting pitcher Hector Noesi struck out two and walked two in two hitless innings.

The Mariners and Athletics start the major league season on March 28 with a two-game series in Tokyo.

Jesus Montero was out of the lineup, a day after he was hit by two foul balls and left the game.
