Seattle Transit Officer Stabbed After Trying To Wake Up Passenger

SEATTLE (AP) — The King County sheriff’s office says a Metro transit officer who was stabbed Friday at a Seattle bus shelter has been released from Harborview Medical Center.
Spokeswoman Cindi West says the sergeant will recover.
The officer who went to awaken a sleeping man was stabbed in the shoulder and also suffered a cut hand.
The officer held the suspect at gunpoint until police arrived. They recovered two knives at the scene, in the Wallingford neighborhood.
