This weekend, March 10 and 11, Seattle will have the biggest consumer bicycle show in the US! Over 250 booths filled with bikes, gear, health and fitness! With Tour de France riders and BMX stunt bike demonstrations, you’ll find all you need to get pedaling this Spring!
The Expo is the official kick-off party for everyone’s bicycle season in the Puget Sound. Every top event producer in the region is here as are bicycling tour companies, local bike shops and top national manufacturers. This year you’ll find many new booths offering fun, cutting-edge products and “Made in the Northwest” custom items.
No matter how experienced or what style of bicyclist you are, Bike Expo features a plethora of interesting, informative and entertaining programming. Take your pick of three separate stages and presentation areas, plus a full slate of interactive and fun activities for kids, including test riding lots of kid sized bikes on a kid sized course! New for 2012, there are hands-on craft demos in the Cascade Bicycle Club Booth, great entertainment, a food court, and more.
Watch the Ride & Glide Pro BMX Stunt Team do their stuff! These courageous athletes always draw the crowd in with an incredible performance. Making a positive difference in people’s lives is what the team enjoys most. Their contagious energy encourages the audience to interact and take in the team’s important messages: bicycle safety, self-esteem, and focusing on the positives, all issues that the team feels are important to today’s youth. The Expo is Saturday, March 10 from 9:00am – 6:00pm and Sunday, March 11 from 10:00am – 4:00pm. The Expo takes place at the Smith Cove Cruise Terminal/Pier 91:
