 Recent polling indicates that Mitt Romney, Newt Gingrich and Rick Santorum are in a statistical dead heat inMississippi andAlabama, the two primaries today with more meaningful delegates tallies up for grabs: 50 inAlabama and 40 inMississippi, all awarded proportionally.

 A controversial new Texaslaw requiring voters to present personal identification before going to the polls has been blocked by the Obama administration. The Justice Department said the legislation could have a discriminatory effect on Hispanics and other minorities.

 Hundreds of people took to the streets Tuesday in eastern Afghanistan to protest the recent killing of 16 civilians, which has been blamed on aU.S. soldier who walked off base in the middle of the night and went door-to-door on a shooting spree.

 Democratic Ohiostate Sen. Nina Turner is the third female lawmaker to introduce a bill that would limit men’s access to Viagra and other erectile dysfunction drugs to make a statement about the dozens of anti-abortion bills that have passed statehouses around the country over the last year.
