Coming to EMP: AC/DC, Australia’s Family Jewels
Seattle’s Experience Music Project (EMP) Museum is proud to be the only North American venue to host AC/DC: Australia’s Family Jewels beginning Saturday, April 28. Developed and presented by the Arts Centre Melbourne and the Western Australian Museum in association with AC/DC, Albert Music, and Sony Music, this is the first and only fully endorsed exhibition to bring to life the history, creativity, and power of one of the world’s greatest rock bands.
The exhibition will feature more than 400 artifacts including photos, instruments, 35 years of gig posters from shows staged around the world, letters, lyrics, and costumes, including an extremely rare Angus Young schoolboy outfit and his 1975 home sewn ‘Super Ang’ costume, complete with gold and red satin cape.
Join the EMP Museum at Sky Church on Friday, April 27 for a headbanger of a bash with Seattle’s HELLS BELLS just ahead of the AC/DC exhibit! Hells Bells is a live, all-female, Angus Young approved AC/DC extravaganza that promises to deliver one of the world’s hardest rocking bands in sound and spirit. Tickets are $10/EMP Members, $20/General Admission. Open to all ages. Bar with 21+ valid ID. Doors at 8:00pm. Purchase tickets online at http://www.empmuseum.org.
