Seattle Crash Snarls I-5 Traffic for Miles

SEATTLE (AP) — The Washington State Patrol says a multiple-vehicle collision involving a tractor-trailer rig closed all four southbound lanes of Interstate 5 in downtown Seattle for about two hours on Thursday afternoon, causing an eight-mile backup.

The rollover crash involving the big rig also damaged several other vehicles.

The accident was reported at 2:14 p.m. The lanes reopened about 4:15 p.m.

Several injuries were reported.

Northbound traffic slowed in the area as well.
