VICTORIA, B.C. (CBS Seattle) – The neighbors of a Victoria resident grew concerned over sounds of a struggle emanating from his apartment earlier this week.

When the authorities responded to calls on the matter, they did find a man in trouble – on the toilet.

The distress suffered by the man was of a gastrointestinal nature, according to the blog for the Victoria Police Department.

In a post entitled “Early morning constitutional brings noise complaint,” neighbors heard yelling and moaning early Wednesday morning that led them to believe the tenant was in danger.

“When officers arrived they could also hear low moaning and babbling coming from inside the suite,” the post added.

After the man answered the door and explained what had happened – while reportedly using his own colorful language to tell his side of the story – the police determined that no further investigation was needed.

The post concluded, “The officers asked him to try to keep the noise down in such future endeavours and he said he would do his best.”
