In celebration of the first official day of summer, Seafair will kick off its 2012 season at Seattle’s Westlake Center on Wednesday, June 20! Join Master of Ceremonies Pat Cashman and commemorate the opening of the 63rd annual Seafair celebration.

It all starts at 11:00am! See the 2012 Seafair King Neptune and Queen Alcyone crowned, meet 2011 Miss Seafair Veronica Quintero, plus there will be plenty of the Seafair Pirates and Clowns.

You can be a part of Seafair’s first knightings of the year – KIRO’s Jenni Hogan (Michelob ULTRA Seafair Torchlight Run Celebrity Runner) and Hydroplane & Raceboat Museum Executive Director David Williams (Hydroplane Driver, author of six books on the sport and primary stunt driver on MGM’s 2005 movie MADISON).

And a vintage hydroplane will be on display from 11:00am – 1:30pm.

Seafair 2012, the “Carnival of Summer”, is Seattle’s premier eight-week summer festival! Seafair takes place from Wednesday, June 20 through Sunday, August 19.
