A grand parade sets the tone for America’s Birthday, followed by fun and fireworks, of course! Head out on Independence Day to catch one of these community parades!

Burien Independence Day Parade

A long standing Burien tradition, the 4th of July Parade runs about 2 hours long and runs through the streets of downtown Burien.

See the “Best Small Town Parade in America.” Thousands of people line the one-mile parade route to watch this wonderful small-town event unfold. Plus, a street fair, kids’ shows, pony rides, bouncy house, Big Purple Slide, miniature golf, the Kitsap Mounted Posse, and more.

It’s the 13th Anniversary of Kirkland’s Community Parade. Kids’ Walking Parade starts at 11:30am, followed by the community parade at 12:00pm. The grandstand is located at the intersection of Lake and Central. Decorating of Kid’s bikes, hat making and face painting begins at 10:00am at the Marina Park Pavilion. Pets are welcome and encouraged. Children will start and finish at Marina Park.
