BELFAIR, Wash. — At least one person who fired a gun caused extensive damage to a Mason County wrecking yard early Monday morning.
The Mason County Fire District received dozens of calls about a blast happening at Belfair Truck & Auto Wrecking around 1 a.m.
A bullet struck a storage bin where fireworks had been stored. On-duty firefighters at the nearby station quickly responded to the massive explosion.
The blast set fire to some car parts and a stack of tires, which are very difficult to extinguish.
Mason County Sheriff’s deputies questioned two suspects.
