Guide to Taste of Tacoma June 29 – July 1
The Taste of Tacoma is Tacoma’s Ultimate FREE Family festival! Featuring 30 regional restaurants, locally crafted beer, the Wine & Roses Wine Tasting Exhibit benefiting the Greater Metro Parks Foundation, a Comedy Club (21+) and a covered dining area.
The Taste also has a carnival, zip line and amusement rides for kids and their parents! In addition, Art a la Carte features over 100 juried arts and crafts vendors.
There are six outdoor entertainment stages featuring all genres of music all over the Taste grounds, including the KMPS Roadhouse Stage, and KZOK’s Classic Rock stage With over 100 acts over the weekend, there is something for everyone’s listening pleasure. Bring a blanket and enjoy the free musical entertainment!
Each day at the Taste, you can celebrate Happy Hour in all the beer gardens and in the Wine & Jazz wine tasting between 11:00am and 2:00pm. During Happy Hour, take a dollar off all drinks in the beer gardens, and $3 off a tasting starter package in the wine tasting.
Guests are encouraged to park and ride the Taste TCC Shuttle which leaves Tacoma Community College at a new location this year, near the NW corner of campus at South 12th St. and S. Mildred St., and travels directly to Point Defiance Park. The Taste Shuttle will operate on Friday and Saturday from 11:00am – 9:30pm and on Sunday from 11:00am – 8:30pm. Shuttle is free. Parking at TCC is free.
