BOZEMAN, Mont. (AP) — A man who had stopped along Interstate 90 near Belgrade to change a tire on his van was struck and killed by a passing vehicle.
The Montana Highway Patrol says the man was hit in the eastbound lanes between Belgrade and Manhattan early Friday afternoon.
Capt. Mike Reddick says the man was traveling with his wife and two children in a van that was registered in North Carolina. He was struck by a car with Missouri license plates.
The victim’s name has not been released.
The eastbound lanes of I-90 were closed for several hours.
Reddick says the crash remains under investigation.
