Peek, which recently opened at University Village across from the kids’s playground, offers high-quality children’s apparel with thoughtful details, luxurious materials, and interesting finishing work that elevates it to something kids can love. Peek carries clothes for babies, infants, and kids through size 7 in boys and 6x/7 in girls (up to about age 10). This is Peek’s sixth box store in the US, and the first in the Pacific Northwest. Look for a new, but apparently well-known furniture and home decor store to open at University Village this fall. According to the Puget Sound Business Journal, there are nearly 6,000 customers in the Puget Sound area who shop Room & Board online and through its catalog.

The second-floor showroom will feature 27,000 square feet of Room & Board furnishings and design inspiration according Room and Board’s website.

For more than 30 years, Room & Board has focused on the simple idea that good design should be beautiful, affordable and long-lasting. They work with American artisans to offer furniture and accessories, even custom pieces, that fit the needs of modern life. More than 90 percent of the products Room and Board sells are handcrafted in the US.

Tazo Tea

According to the Seattle Times, Tazo’s tea operations are now located at Starbucks’ roasting and packaging plant in Kent.

Bloomberg reports that the store, opening in October, 2012 in University Village, will carry over 80 varieties of loose-leaf Tazo tea, plus hot and iced tea drinks, tea lattes, and pastries and baked goods.

This will be the first exclusive Tazo tea shop from Starbucks.
