Washington is filled with aviation lovers, and to prove it, check out some of the best air shows in the country! They are happening right here in WA!

The Arlington Fly-In began as a weekend fly-in and spaghetti feed in 1969. It has grown to become one of the most popular sport aviation events on the West Coast. The “County Fair with Airplanes” is one of the friendliest Fly-In destinations. This event has something for everyone, from radio controlled flight to Warbirds. There will be air shows Thursday, Friday and Saturday during the Fly-In. Plus aircraft workshops, a balloon glow (Saturday), jet simulator, plane rides, kids’ activities and more. Kids 15 and under are FREE. More details online.

Be part of the action in the air and on the ground as we honor the real-life heroes who save lives and protect communities every day at the nation’s premier helicopter air show event! Come and see advanced military and civilian helicopters and meet the pilots who fly them. The event features flyovers and tactical demonstrations, hands-on family activities, helicopter rides, entertainment and concessions.

Soldiers and Airmen will be on hand with airframes and vehicles stationed at the base as part of dozens of ground static displays – in most cases, people attending the Air Expo will not only be able to see a C-17 Globemaster III and a CH-47 Chinook helicopter up-close, but actually go inside and speak directly with the aircrews who fly them! Featured performers include the US Air Force “Thunderbirds” and US Army “Golden Knights” – just two of the more than 20 military and civilian flying performers who are expected to take to the air for breath-taking acrobatics and demonstration flights. Flying demonstrations will take place from 11:00am – 3:30pm. This event is free and open to the public.

The Boeing Air Show marks the culmination of the six-week summer Seafair festival and is a true highlight for all in attendance. During one weekend each year, air show fans witness captivating sights as the best pilots in the world perform heart-pounding performances over Lake Washington.
